Shop Floor Routes
In this class we deal with the Merlin MRP Factory 9 Shop Floor Routing.

In the Merlin MRP System you can define as many Shop Floor Routes as you physically have in your plant.
A "Shop Floor Route" can be a single Bay where an Assembly is built from start to finish, or a Production Flow point, where as each Assembly Process is completed the item is handed-off to the next Production Process down the line.
This is very important in optimising your Shop Floor Schedules, with full MRP II and ERP control.
What your see at first is the default ROUTE 1 which comes pre-installed with Merlin MRP Software. Click it and proceed to Step 2.
Now click the EDIT RECORD button, customise this entry as you wish, and SAVE it.
You then need to create a new entry for every Static Assembly Bay where an Assembly is built from start to finish, and/or for each Process Bay on a Process Flow Route (Production Line or Assembly Track) where the first Assembly Process takes place at Station 1, and then the item is passed to Station 2 for the next Assembly Process, and so on until the final station where the Assembly is Completed.
If you include the appropriate Process Items for each Station on your BoMs, this will enable the Merlin MRP System to find Production Slots for your Manufacturing Jobs on the assigned Shop Floor Route.
Whenever you enter a new Sales Order & Job, you will need to select the Shop Floor Route from the list you have created.
