Merlin MRP Factory 9 Manual Stock Movements

1:  Go to Manufacturing Resources

IMPORTANT NOTE: This module is intended for unusual ad hoc stock movements, such as entering your opening stock balances in a new system, correcting mistakes, or receiving goods-in against POs that were NOT generated by Merlin.

In the normal course of events, Merlin takes care of all Stock Movements and Backflushing, so you should rarely, if ever, ever need to do this once you are up and running.

So, find the Manufacturing Resources tab at the top of the Merlin MRP Factory 9  HOME screen, or any Departmental screen, and click it.

In the middle of the top row of the Control Panel you will see Enter MANUAL STOCK MOVEMENTS. Click this and the Manual Stock Movements Wizard will appear as shown.  Proceed to Step 2.

2:  Selecting the Item to Adjust

Using the drop-down box, select the Item you wish to adjust as shown.  If you know the Part No., simply type it in.  If you don't, but know how it starts, click the Down Arrow, and a Parts List will appear.  Start typing what you know.  The selection list will update to reflect what you have typed.  Keep going until you see the item you are looking for in the list, and click it.  If you have typed-in all you can remember, but still can't see the item you are looking for, scroll down the list until you locate it.  This technique works for all drop-down search boxes in Merlin.

When you have located the item you are looking for proceed to Step 3.

3:  Click Goods IN and You will See this Screen.

Enter the Quantity that you wish to Receive into Stock and a Reference to explain the entry in Stock Movements Reports, then click the RECEIVE button.  Job Done!

For Manual Goods Out the process is very similar.  See Step 4.

4:  Manual Goods Out

If you selected Goods OUT in Step 2 you will see this Wizard.  For Goods OUT the procedure is identical to the above, except that instead of the RECEIVE button there is an ISSUE button to click.

For Goods OUT, you can set up Predefined References in Manage STOCK MOVEMENT REFERENCES, which you can then select from the drop-down box in Manual Goods OUT, which can save time if you find yourself using the same reference repeatedly.
